What utensils can i use in my new induction cook-top is often the question most new buyers face when they get a induction stove. To answer all the questions related to induction cook-top utensils i am today writing this blog for all the Nepali people affected by load shedding and fuel crysis.

How does induction cooker work?

Induction cooker works by converting the electrical energy to induce high currents in the utensils and heat them to cook food. So the utensil should be compatible with the cook-top for cooking.

What type of utensils can be used?

For a very simple test just stick a magnet and if it sticks, the utensil is compatible. Very thin coating of copper might or might not work. Also " falaam ko bhada" of Nepali kitchen all works in the induction cook-top like tawa, sel pakaune bhada etc.

Does curved vessels work?

Yes curved vessels work but it is very very inefficient. only the bottom part touching the cook-top gets heated so localized heat can destroy food.
